08 September 09: State of things... e.no

website

Some of you who still come around here may have come across the fact that the novelty of things found here in place is not the best on planet anymore. This is mostly due to the fact that I am now managing the official Dybdahl online communications with fans (i.e. official site, MySpace, Facebook and the like...), so news go directly to you.

I am planning to leave this site as an unofficial source for Dybdahl-related stuff, i.e. some inside news, regular downloads and the most up-to-date discography with lyrics and tabs. I however do not have the time at the moment to do the neccessary complete overhaul that this site needs (including design). Please hang in for some news here nevertheless. And thank you for great years of TD.net already ;) ...

19 June 09: UK and online Dybdahl e.no

official

Thomas will have a more or less spontaneous gig in London again, playing support (but with full band) for Peter, Bjorn and John at the official opening day of The Garage on June 26th. That's in a week for people with no calendar at hand.
Furthermore, Thomas has started blogging and twittering. He wrote his first blog entry at his myspace page and already put up some twitter messages. If you haven't checked yet, Thomas Dybdahl is even on Facebook with his own group.

We have already touched on the fact that Thomas is starting his UK career. Finally some more fixed facts: his best-of album due to be released in Norway will also be published in the UK as his debut album on September 7th, wearing the imaginative title 'Thomas Dybdahl'. He will have two preceding releases, one EP named 'B A Part' containing B A Part, From Grace, Pale Green Eyes and Stay Home, released on July 27th, and a single 'From Grace' to be published on August 24th (vinyl and digital download only).

Hopefully he'll make some new friends over in the UK!...

04 March 09: An update rush e.no

official

The UK-based people are blessed ones!
Thomas Dybdahl is now about to get a focus on promoting himself in the UK, what seems like the toughest music market in the world. He is about to receive financial help from the Stavanger commune to help promoting him in the UK. Networks are already spun but will be extended. Plans are made for a collection album in 2009 and the release of a new album in 2010 - it seems that this is meant for the UK. The collection album is to include what Thomas thinks to be his most representative material out of his work up to present date. To help the promotion, there will be tours.
There have not been official announcements for a tour so far. However, there is at least one tour date which seems confirmed: March 13th, 2009, at The Borderline, London (together with Sadie Jemmet again).

As you might have read on the official site (which is why we didn't put up an announcement so far), the work on Thomas' new album, due to be titled "Party like it's 1929", is ongoing. More info to follow soon.
